How many tanks do we have?
Two 55 - gallon tanks. Stored in each nacelle.
How many usable gallons do we have?
108 usable gallons. Total of 110 gallons.
What type of fuel do we use?
100 LL AVGAS
How many fuel tank vents do we have?
Two fuel tank Vents. One under each wing. Special anti-icing feature.
How many fuel pumps do we have? And what functions do they have?
We have 4 pumps. 2 electrically driven and 2 engine driven.
The fuel Primer switch does what?
Provides fuel to the cylinders prior to start up. Only go to cylinders 1, 2, and 4.
Fuel gauges are located where? And what is their function?
They are located to the left of the control yoke. They display the amount of fuel in each nacelle.
Where are the fuel drains located?
On the right side of the aircraft and are the lowest point of the fuel system.
Where are the fuel controls located?
In between the seats.
What are the different positions of the fuel control?
On, Off, and X-Feed (in that order).
What is the cross feed useful for?
For single engine operation, in order to maintain fuel balance and avoid imbalance.
Do not operate with both fuel selectors in the off position.
Because the POH says so.
