What are the parts of the airframe structure?

What is the fuselage?
The main body of the airframe housing the cockpit, passengers, and cargo.
What do the wings do?
Provide lift. The wings may include flaps and ailerons.
What is the empennage?
The tail section that includes horizontal and vertical stabilizers.
What are the four control surfaces?
- Ailerons
- Elevator
- Rudder
- Flaps
What are the ailerons?
They are located on the wings. They control roll.
What are the elevators?
Located on the horizontal stabilizer. They control pitch.
What is the rudder?
Located on the vertical stabilizer. Its control yaw.
What is roll?
Banking left or right.
What is pitch?
Nose up or down.
What is yaw?
Nose left or right.
What are flaps?
Extend from the wings to increase lift at slower speeds during takeoff and landing.
What are the types of landing gear?

- Retractable
