- Argon - 0.93%
- CO2 - 0.03%
- Oxygen - 21 %
- Nitrogen - 78 %
The in crease of CO2 is affecting what ?
It is affecting the weather and climate
What are the layers of the atmosphere ? (5)
- Troposphere
- Stratosphere
- Mesosphere
- Thermosphere
- Exosphere
What do you mean by the term green house affect ? Which gas is called green house gas?
Green house affect means the trapping of the sun’s warmth. Carbon Dioxide is called green house Gas
What are the three types of wind ? (3)
- Permanent winds
- Seasonal winds
- Local winds
What is insolation ?

What are permanent winds ?
Permanent winds are wind which blow in a particular direction throughout the year
What are Seasonal winds ?
They are winds which change their direction every season
What is the moisture content called ?
It is called humidity
What instrument is use to measure humidity ?
It is called Hygometer
What are the types of rain fall ? (3)
- Convectional
- Relief Orographic
- Cyclonic
What is convectional rainfall ?
When the sun heats the surface of the earth and causes water to evaporate. When the water evaporates it cools down
What is Relief Orographic rainfall ?
It is when the air cools as it makes it way up a tall structure
What is cyclonic rainfall ?
It is when warm air and cold air meets each other.
What is weather ?
Weather is hour - hour day - day condition of the atmosphere
Which two gases makes the bulk of the atmosphere ?
Nitrogen and oxygen
What is air pressure ?
Air pressure is the weight of air molecules pressing down on the Earth
Which gas protects us from harmful sun rays ?
Ozon layer
Why do astronauts wear protective gear with air when they go to space?
Because the counter air pressure from the astronauts will burst the blood cell’s thus making the astronauts bleed
What is the standard unit of measuring the degree of hotness or coldness ?
It is °C (Celsius)
