What is Secure Attachment?

A

A child gets distressed when the mother leaves and the stranger enters. They are avoidant of the stranger when alone but would become friendly when the mother is present

What is Anxious Resistant?

A

The child will become instantly distressed when the mother leaves and the child will show fear of the stranger when they are alone , when the mother returns they may resist contact and push the mother away

A

The child shows no signs of distress when the mother leaves and they are okay with the stranger and will play normally. when the mother returns they show little interest.
