These were apartment blocks usually 5 stories high. The higher they got the smaller the room would be so richer plebeians would live on the bottom floor and poorer ones closer to the top.
Gladiators
These were people who would go into the amphitheater and fight for entertainment.
Roman legacy
The romans were great engineers and builders many of there structures are used today. Rome was the first European country to make big investments in big projects. This increased there army chances as there were roads. They used arches to hold up large ceilings.
Christianity
The Roman Empire covered to Christianity making it the the world’s most powerful religion.
Language
Latin was the language spoken in Rome at the time. It is not spoken today but many English words come from or are influenced from Latin
Calendar
In 45BC Caesar made a new Calendar with 365 days and 12 months as the old roman one was to inaccurate and remains the calander we us today

Where the wealthy elite ruled the city through senate
