Q
What are the three types of hypothesis? When are they used? How are they written?
A
- Non- directional suggests there is a difference without direction, and is used when there is insufficient or contradictory past research: There will between a significant different of DV between IV(A) and IV(B)
- Directional suggests there is a difference and provides direction, and is used if there is past research that suggests a direction: IV(A) will have a more significant impact on DV than IV(B)
- Null suggests there will be no effect: IV(A) and IV(B) will have no effect on the DV
