The middle passage
The captured Africans were then loaded on to ships and transported to the Americas.
The journey from Africa to the Americas was known as the MIDDLE PASSAGE OR BLACK HOLOCAUST.
The Middle Passage was the second leg of the Triangular Trade.

Life on the plantation
Once the enslaved got the plantation they were given new names and put under the guidance of an experienced enslaved.
The enslaved did the work assigned to them– clearing land, planting crops, reaping.
In the factory yard- they fed the cut cane into the mill, boiled the sugar, putting the raw sugar into barrels
