- ) R FUEL LOW
- ) LOW VOLTS
- ) TRAFFIC
- ) Pitot heat not switched on
- ) Fault in pitot heating system

What is the maximum take off mass for normal and utility category variations of DA-40? What is the maximum landing mass and maximum ramp mass? What happens if you exceed these limits?
Normal: 1200kg Utility: 980kg Max LDG mass: 1150kg Max ramp mass: 1204kg Exceeding these limits will cause overstressing of aircraft as well as degradation to flight characteristics and flight performance.
Where is the CoG datum located in the DA-40?
2.194m in front of most forward point of root rib on stub wing.
What is the most forward position of the CoG when weight is between 780kg-980 kg and 1200kg respectively?
- 4m aft of DP 780-980kg
2. 48m aft of DP 1200kg
What is the most rearward location of the CoG? What happens if you exceed the CoG limits?
Long range tank – 2.55m aft of DP.
Exceeding CoG limits reduces controllability and stability of aircraft.
What manoeuvres are and are not permitted on a normal category DA-40?
All normal flight manoeuvres
