AF4 Flashcards
What valve prevent reverse air flow?
PRSOV
Which pneumatics valve can be be locked closed?
High stage valve
What is the purpose of the gold coating on the ducts?
Reduces hydrocarbon embrittlement
What does the dual bleed light signify?
2 sources of bleed are selected. Bleed 1 and APU or bleed 2 and APU with isolation valve open.
What causes a bleed trip light?
Over temp or pressure
What stages are bleed air taken from?
5 and 9
At high engine speed, which stage of bleed is used?
5 only.
When will the APU go into high flow mode?
Ground only
What position will the fan Bypass check valve be in the air?
Open in flight, closed on ground.
How many zones does the 6/700 have?
2
How many zones does the 8/900 have?
3
On a 6/700 what component allows added heat to the flight deck?
Left mix chamber
Where are the pack discharge overheat switches on the 6/700?
In ducting external of the pack bay.
On the 6/700 what does the mix valve consist of?
2 valves on 1 actuator.
On the 8/900 what drives the demand to the packs?
The coldest zone setting.
In flight one pack fails. Both packs are in auto. What does the serviceable pack do?
Goes into high flow.
When does the plenum bypass check valve open?
In flight only.
What does the 230 deg F sensor control?
The ram air system to maintain 230 degrees.
Which pack can provide fresh air to the flight deck?
Left
What does a zone temp light mean?
A zone has an over heat. Trips at 88 degrees.
What position will the fan bypass valve be in for flight and on ground?
Open in flight, closed on ground.
Where are the equipment cooling low flow detectors?
Fwd equipment bay (nose)
What position is the equipment cooling overboard exhaust valve in on the ground?
Open
Where is the equipment cooling exhaust routed in flight?
Around the exterior of the fwd cargo bay
