What happened on the 13th March

A

A vigil to remember Sarah Everard took place,

However police took over the area and 4 people were arrested for breaking coronavirus regulations. There were apparent scuffles and many of the woman that went to pay their respects felt like they were being silenced.

There was national concern for the way the Met police handled the demonstration and since there has been many ‘anti-cop’ rally’s and equality protests

A

This protest is calling for politicians not to pass the police, crime, sentencing and courts bill. Which would give police and the home secretary more power to crack down on protests
