- start warfarin/direct thrombin or factor 10 inhibitors

- beta blcokers
- calcium channel blockers
- digoxin - preferred with coexising HF

Catheter ablation
A
- for patients not repsonding to antiarrythmics
- start anticoagulation 4 weeks prior
- keep them on anticoagulation because restoring sinus rhythm does not reduce stroke risk
