continuous training

A

Continuous training is training with no break and aiming for 60-85% heart rate. Train with a steady pace, moderate intensity to develop aerobic/ cardiovascular endurance. Some sports that use this training are long distance running, cycling, swimming, team sports (netball, football, rugby, hockey) Advantages are: not much equipment, game like, good for building aerobic and muscular endurance. Disadvantages being long distances can be boring and higher risk of injury on a hard surface.

Circuit

A

Involves a series of different activities. These can be sport specific or to develop specific areas of fitness. Athletes change activities with a set time and rest for a set time. Every sport can do circuit training as long as they make it specific to their sport. An advantage being you can vary the sport and a disadvantage is there is a lot of equipment needed.
