What’s the Adult Dose of Epi 1:1,000?
Anaphylaxis: 0.3-0.5mg IM/SQ
Anaphylactic Shock: 1-4mcg/min IV, titrated to effect
Nebulized Epi/ Upper Airway Stridor: 5mL of 1mg/mL SVN
What’s the Pediatric Dose of Epi 1:1,000?
Anaphylaxis: 0.01mg/kg with a max dose of 0.5mg IV infusion 0.1-1mcg/kg/min, titrated to effect
Nebulized Epi/Upper Airway Stridor: Same as adult
What are the indications of Epi 1:10,000?
Cardiac arrest, Shock, profound bradycardia
What is the action of Epi 1:10,000?
Increases cardiac resistance, BP, Electric activity, O2 needs, contractility, & myocardial activity. Alpha 1 & Beta 1
What are the contraindications of Epi 1:10,000?
None in a life threatening emergency
What are the side effects of Epi 1:10,000?

What’s the Adult dose of Epi 1:10,000?
Cardiac Arrest: 1mg IV/IO q 3-5min
Bradycardia: 2-10mcg/min, Titrate to effect

0.01mg/kg IV/IO with a max dose of 1mg IV

What are the indications of Glucagon?
Hypoglycemia, Beta blocker overdose
What are the contraindications of Glucagon?
Allergic, PCC, Insulinoma
What are the side effects of Glucagon?
Rebound hyperglycemia, hypotension, sinus tachycardia
What’s the Adult Dose of Glucagon?
Hypoglycemia: 1mg IM
Beta Blocker OD: 5mg IV, may repeat 1x
What’s the Pediatric Dose of Glucagon?
Hypoglycemia: <20kg: 0.5mg IM
Beta Blocker OD: <20kg: 0.5 mg IM/IV

Antihistamine
What’s the effect of Benadryl?
Binds and blocks H1 histamine receptors. High doses cause anticholinergic activity
What are the indications of Benadryl?
Anaphylaxis, Allergic Reaction, dystonic reactions
What are the contraindications of Benadryl?
Acute asthma, allergic, premature infants & neonates
What are the side effects of Benadryl?
Thickened bronchial secretions, drowsiness, potential anticholinergic effects/excitable state, especially in children
What’s the Adult Dose of Benadryl?
25-50mg IM/IV, 15-30 min onset
What’s the Pediatric Dose of Benadryl?
1-2mg/kg IM/IV
