Then they will use third person pronouns like ‘he’ or ‘they’ to get us to identify someone who is not part of a group.

The theory of social proof stems from psychology. It states that people will imitate the actions or behaviours of people they consider to beinfluentialorexpertsin a field, in order to fit in.
