Advantages of Parliamentary Law Making Process
A
- includes public opinion. the public are able to give input on the principles of the Bill through the green and white paper.
- many opportunities for debate. the Bill is thoroughly checked by the HoL, HoC and Parliamentary Council
- trust in the system. HoC MPs are voted in so they should have the public’s best interest in mind.
- enables full reform. the whole statute can be reviewed whereas judges only look at particular cases and facts.

Disadvantages of Parliamentary Law Making Process
A
- long process. some Bills get lost as they are not as important and others take priority.
- lack of time. Parliament take breaks so they run out of time.
- government control. the government has control over that policies are and are not made.
- complexity. the language and subject of the law may mean the MPs and public do not completely understand, therefore do not interfere where they may have to.
