what is perimenopause?
A
The gradual reduction of less oestrogen up until menopause starts.

what are the symptoms of perimenopause?
A
- hot flushes
- fatigue
- irregular/heavy periods
- vaginal dryness
- mood swings
- urine leaking when coughing/sneezing
- urinary urgency

what does menopause involve?
A
- gradual reduction of menstruation and large reductions of fertile eggs in the ovaries.
- increase in hormone called gonadotropins that try to stimulate egg production causing hot flushes/irritability
- reduction in sex hormones

what are some changes of people in their 40s?
A
- thinning and greying of hair
- men may start to lose hair
- hearing difficulty
- reduced hand-eye coordination
- sperm production in men loosen
- eyesight deterioration
