- Timing of sexual assault
- Circumstances of incident
- Any suspected drugs or alcohol involved

- Victims wishes about gender of doctor

- Arrange pick up time of complainant and kit

- Blue copy of the Medical Examination Report
- Receive a briefing from the doctor in relation to forensic evidence / injuries / disclosures

What are the reporting time frames for Acute and Non Acute child abuse
Acute
Child abuse reported within 7 days of the abuse occurring.
Non acute child abuse
Child abuse reported 7 days or later from the abuse occurring
This does not determine the risk or urgency in individual circumstances.
The referral of reports of concern to CYFS, consultation to determine if the case is a
CPP case, and if so a Initial Joint Investigation Plan (IJIP) is to be completed in the
following time frames:
- Immediately in CRITICAL or VERY URGENT cases (i.e. as soon as possible but within 24 hours)
- Within 2 full working days (for urgent cases)
In all other cases, necessary steps put in place immediately to ensure the child’s safety.
