- cardiac arrest
- shock
- bradycardia with poor perfusion

hypovolaemic shock without adequate fluid replacement

- e/f
- pt with cvd
- pt on MAOIs
- higher dose for pt on beta blockers

side effects
A
- sinus tachycardia
- supraventricular arrhythmia
- ventricular arrhythmias
- HTN
pupillary dilation - may increase size of MI
- anxiety/ palpitations
