Adrenal Flashcards

1
Q

Hypertension in cushings

A
  1. Glucocorticoids have high affinity for mineralocaoticoid receptors
But in cushings 11BHD 2 saturated
  2. Glucocorticoids have a permissive action on catecholamines
  3. Gluco stimulate PNMT release to convert noradrenaline to adrenaline
  4. Increase the formation of deoxyxorticosterone
  5. Increase formation of angiontensinigon and direct effect on blood vessels
