What is pruning and myelination?
Pruning: getting rid of the neurons which you don’t use.
Mylenation: Mylenating and speeding up the ones which you do use.
What happens to dopamine during puberty?
Baseline dopamine is lower but the release levels are raised when you do something compelling.
Explain the limbic system during adolescence?
Limbic system is involved in making rapid decisions (such as fight or flight).
The prefrontal cortex evolves slower and is involved in rational thinking (empathy, insight, judgement, planning for the future).

Clinically you don’t actually determine if someone is severe or moderate, they will just get the help that they need.
