Team on field time

A

NFHS - 15 yd unsportsmanlike for not being ready to start either half, or not being on field at beginning of 3 min warmup period. 5 yd Delay of Game if game management problem is cause for delay

NCAA - 15 yd Delay of Game for not being ready to start either half. 10 yds if a game management problem is the cause for delay (may be waived by R if beyond control of game management

Extra Periods

A

NFHS - Beginning with 3rd extra period, ball is placed at 10 yard line 1st and goal. Ball is dead if B gains possession

NCAA - Beginning with 3rd extra period, both teams can only score 2 pt conversions. Ball remains live if B gains possession- but subsequent possession by A does not give A a new series

Blood on player

A

NFHS - Must leave if blood is on uniform or is bleeding. Cannot return until cleaned or bleeding stopped. Treated as injured player

NCAA - Must leave if bleeding. Cannot return without approval of medical personnel

NCAA - Do not stop clock, unless charging a timeout (and only for mouthpiece or helmet), or a d.o.g. penalty if out of timeouts

A
