What are the SOLO restrictions for:

Emergencies?

A

Solo students encountering an emergency or unserviceability are to carry out the appropiate initial actions. When the aircraft is safely under control and if time permits, students are to advise the DI. Students are to then return immediately.

Practice Emergencies?

A

Students are not to simulate emergencies. However, students may initiate PFLs IAW SATG.

A

Flying sequences that may be conducted solo, only after the student has performed the sequence dual to a satisfactory standard and is annotated as “certified safe solo” on the student privileges sheet in the PT-51.

A
  1. Be able to fly a safe normal circuit, overshoot from base and final approach, and carry out full stop landings.
  2. Have successfully completed the pre-solo quiz
  3. Have a thorough knowledge of the following emergency procedures:
    a) Start emergencies
    b) Engine Failure After TakeOff (EFATO)
    c) Flapless Landing
    d) Radio Failure
