Adaptations of ? Flashcards
Why is diffusion important to animals? (digestive system)
Because
-allows them to extract energy from the absorption of nutrients in the digestive system
Why is diffusion important to plants?
Because they need it for photosynthesis where carbon dioxide from the stomata diffuses into the leaves and finally into the cells as well as oxygen being diffused out of the cells.
Why is diffusion important to animals? (alveoli)
It ensures they have a good blood supply as oxygen moves from the alveoli to the blood through the capillaries
Why is diffusion important to animals? (lungs)
For respiration in the lungs allowing them to breathe through gas exchange
Why is diffusion important to animals? (villi)
5 points
- because digested nutrients diffuse through villi which have a large surface area for the absorption of food
