A

Dissociative sxs: feeling numb, detached or being emotionally unresponsive, reduced awareness of your surroundings, derealization, depersonalization, dissociated amnesia

Describe obsessive-compulsive disorder

A

presence of obsessions, compulsions or both

obsession-recurrent/persistent thoughts urges or images that are experienced that are unwanted and caused marked anxiety or distress. Individual tries to ignore such thoughts

compulsions-repetitive behaviors or mental acts that the ind. feels driven to perform in response to an obsession. these are aimed at preventing or reducing anxiety/distress but are not connected in a realistic way
