Q

Describe L sided heart failure.

A

difficulty pumping blood to systemic circulation, so it backs up into lungs

  • pulmonary issues: pulmonary edema, orthopnea/dyspnea, paraoxysmal dyspnea, dry cough, wheezing
  • issues d/t decreased CO: hypotension, tachy, poor ex. tolerance, weak, fatigue, enlarged heart, S3 sound (maybe S4 too)
