What is the piece about? What is the message? What are you wanting your audience to feel from watching that character?
Eg. Empathetic, angst or anger.

What do they link to in the drama? What impact do they have on a drama or a scene?

How do they interact with others? Do they have any conflicts with anyone else in the play?
Closely linked to status and motivation.
