activity intolerance
type and amount of exercise or work that a person in able to perform without undue exertion or injury
activities of daily living (ADLs)

body alignment

body mechanics
coordinated efforts of the musculoskeletal and nervous system to maintain proper balance, posture, and body alignment
isotonic contractions
muscle contractions making the body move
concentric tension
muscle shortening resulting in movement
eccentric tension
lengthening of a muscle to control speed and directional movement
isometric contraction
muscle tension or muscle work, but no shortening or lengthening
proprioception
ability of the body to sense its position and movement in space
stretch reflex
maintaining constancy of muscle length (if a book is placed in your hand)
