Q

What does the “Can + SVC” feature do?

A

Connects the active can (HVA) and the active SVC coil (HVX). Current flows between these electrodes and the RV coil (HVB).

Q

What does the “Can Off” setting do?

A

It removes the can (HVA) as a vector, so current flows between the SVC coil (HVX) and the RV coil (HVB)

Q

What are the polarities of each HV electrode?

A

The polarities of the can (HVA) and the SVC coil (HVX) are always the same and the RV coil (HVB) is the opposite.

Q

Are there any safeguards for this algorithm?

A

There is a non-programmable patient alert if the active can is programmed off and there is no SVC coil plugged into the can.
