8 week programme
1 session a week + 3 testing session + 3 analysis session
14 sessions overall
15-30 minutes long
- short to ensure she doesn’t get bored or have to change her school/sport schedule.
Completed before her regular training sessions, should help her during actual session.
TEST
She is stationary with 30 balls.
There are 3 gates.
She must aim to push pass 10 balls through each gate.
I will calculate a % accuracy to give quantitative data to analyse.
This will also be videotaped to allow technique to be visualised.
Session 1
TEST
Session 2
ANALYSIS OF VIDEO AND EXPLANATION OF TRAINING PROGRAMME
Identify elements of improve the together and watch video of sporting professionals - SR bond (SLT) CREATING MENTAL PICTURE
Session 3
Focus on individual elements of PER.
I will demo. Part practice
ONLY USE POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT UNTIL ATLEAST AFTER THE 2nd TEST! May damage confidence and decrease motivation of negative reinforcement/punishment is used.
Session 4
Practice against wall
Whole practice from here until end of session

RETEST
Session 8
ANALYSIS OF SECOND TEST COMPARE WITH FIRST.
Boost SC-state confidence of skill. Increase internal motivation due to the externally supplied evidence that she is improving.
Session 9
Introduce 1 other individual. Teammate or me whoever is available. Preferably team mate - SR bond.
Same dribbling 2 gate drill but passing through gate to teammate - encourages the essential prescan.
Still closed, no longer self paced
Session 10

Session 11
5 aside match. 1 point for goal. 1 point for successful push pass. 3 points for goal stemming from successful push pass. Encourages thought of outcome of accurate play not just the skill itself
OPEN EXTERNALLY PACED
Session 12
9 aside game. Emphasis given to player to implement push pass as often as possible. As larger sided may fall into the aerobic system so will have a sub to ensure my player can replenish energy stores, during this time I will talk them through positives and negatives. By this point negative reinforcement can be used as they know they can perform the skill and they have the kinaesthesis to do so.
Session 13
RETEST
Session 14
ANALYSE QUANTITIVE DATA AND REVEIW FOOTAGE.
athlete can visually watch back her progression giving a huge boost of confidence to use the skill in a performance setting, confidentially knowing it will be at least 80% successful.
Progression/regression.
If the athlete is not improving they can repeat session 2-6 to ensure full understanding is present for the technique alone.
