Acting Skills Flashcards
What is the impact of facial expressions?
It shows how the character is feeling or what they are like as well. You could have a character who is sad and a character who is bored. However, to know this, you need to see their facial expressions.
What is posture?
It is when you have a certain pose. An example of this could be slouched.
When you use hands and arms to communicate a message, what term is that?
It is called gesture. You could be waving to someone meaning you are saying hello to them.
Can you give me an example of the following: •Tone • Pitch • Pace •Volume
Tone-the actor could be speaking quietly to someone, perhaps because they are shy.
Pitch-the character could be speaking very high if they are excited about something.
Pace-someone who is bored could be speaking slowly, meaning they aren’t bothered.
Volume-a character speaking loudly means that they are angry.
