Getting the message across is dependent on the way the actors act out their parts and deliver their lines or dialogs. ____ is basically the use of the face, body, and voice to make a character alive.
Acting
When you watch a play, you will know that the acting is convincing when the actor can:
- convey or communicate the feelings or moods of the character;
-reveal the personality of the character;
-trigger empathy or rage among the audience and;
-show a logical motivation in the character.
Acting always goes with _____ or the lines that characters say to each other, to themselves, and to the audience. The character’s manner of speaking, which uses accent, dialect, syntax, and vocabulary, can reveal a character’s social status. Meanwhile, intonation, pitch, tone, and pause reveal emotions.

Verbal Strategies:
• Embrace your role so you can deliver lines easily and appropriate emotions.
• Enunciate and pronounce towards correctly and clearly.
• Do a vocal warm-up.
• Practice reading and re-reading your lines until you become completely comfortable with your phrasing and intonation
• Watch theater plays and analyze how stage actors deliver their lines.
Non-Verbal Strategies:
• Internalize your lines and immerse yourself in your role so your gestures and actions will be more natural and realistic.
• Relax. Tension can be easily spotted on stage as revealed by your voice and body movements.
• Let your facial expressions sway the audience as you deliver your lines.
• Watch the theater plays and analyze how stage actors move and act on stage.
