Principle of utility
An action is good if it leads to the greatest good for the greatest number.
Consequentialism
The moral value of actions lie in its consequences.
Hedonism
Seek to maximise pleasure and minimise pain.
Hedonic calculus
7 criteria to measure pleasure outcome of an action:
Intensity, duration, certainty, propinquity, purity, fecundity, extent.

How strong is the pleasure

How long pleasure will last

How certain the pleasure will occur

How soon in time the pleasure will occur
