act 3 Flashcards
To be thus is nothing,
but to be safely thus. Our fears in Banquo
Stick deep
3, 1, 49-51
Upon my head they plac’d a fruitless crown
And put a barren sceptre in my gripe,
3, 1, 62-63
come Fate into the list,
And champion me to th’utterance.
3, 1, 72-73
We are men, my liege
3, 1, 93
We have scorched the snake, not kill’d it;
3, 2, 13
O, full of scorpions is my mind, dear wife!
3, 2, 36
Then comes my fit again: I had else been perfect;
Whole as the marble, founded as the rock,
As broad and general as the casing air:
But now I am cabin’d, cribb’d, confin’d, bound
3, 4, 21-24
There the grown serpent lies; the worm that’s fled
Hath nature that in time will venom breed,
3, 4, 29
Are you a man?
Ay, and a bold one,
3, 4, 58-59
I am in blood
Stepp’d in so far that should I wade no more,
Returning were as tedious as go’er.
3, 4, 136-138
You lack the season of all natures, sleep.
3, 4, 141
