Athena: Perseus, you have been given a difficult task, but with the help of these gifts, and your own cunning and strength, you have a chance to defeat the monstrous Gorgon sisters.
Hephaestus: (Holding out the sword:) here is a sward I forged from the stone of Mount Olympus. its blade is sharp, and true so long as the holder is strong enough to wield it.
Perseus: (Taking the shield:) Thank you, Athena. I know this shield will provide me with invaluable protection.
Hephaestus: With these gifts you must now set out on the journey you were always destined to take
Hermes: But we leave you with on final word of caution.
Hephaestus: Medusa’s greatest power lies in her head of snakes.
