Act 1 Scene 2 summary
Iago arrives at Othello’s lodgings,he warns the general that Brabantio will not hesitate to attempt to force a divorce between Othello and Desdemona. Othello sees a party of men approaching, which is Brabantio but Othello refuses to fight and goes to the duke.
What does disease symbolise ?
Disease symbols often represent the corruption and moral decay within individuals and society. For example, characters frequently use disease imagery to describe jealousy and deceit.
What does the misogynistic language show.
Because Othello is a tragedy, misogyny does not appear as a lighthearted or humorous element in the play.
