Solubility of SO4
ALWAYS except with Sr, Ba, Ag, Hg2, Pb
Kinetic molecular theory of gases
- volume occupied by the molecule of the gas is negligible compared to the volume of the gas itself
- molecules of an ideal gas exert no attractive forces
- molecules are in constant random motion (until collision)
- collisions are perfectly elastic, but the total kinetic energy is conserved
- the average kinetic energy of the gas molecules is directly proportional to the absolute temperature
Diffusion/Effusion
m1/m2 = (urms^2)/(urms^2)
How do salts dissolve in a solution?
ionic bond pulled apart attraction of cation to O and anion to H
Formal charge rules:
- smaller absolute formal charges are more favorable
- negative formal charges should be on the most electronegative atoms
- like charges should not be on adjacent atoms
A Bronsted-Lowry acids is a […].
proton hydrogen ion donor
A Bronsted-Lowry base is a […].

Bronsted– In this theory, an acid is a…
substance that can release a proton
Boyle’s Law:
PV=PV2
Charles’s Law:
V1/T1 = V2/T2
