Landing w/o Hydraulic Pressure

Hint: FLAPS

A

Landing without hydraulic px, I have no:

  1. Flap Movement
  2. Landing GR normal extension
  3. Anti-skid
  4. Power Brakes
  5. Speed Brakes (they’ll blow down)

BONUS: Increase your 30 Flap TOLD distance by 90%
(DO NOT DO THIS FOR DUAL GENERATOR FAILURE)

Q

IFR Destination Filing Requirements

A
  1. Prevailing weather for ETA +/- 1 hr must be at or above lowest compatible published landing mins
  2. Straight-ins, sidesteps must meet required visibility mins
  3. Circling, forecast weather must meet BOTH ceiling and prevailing visibility mins
  4. If there is no compatible published approach, pilots may file to a point served by a published approach where forecast wx allows a composite IFR/VFR flight plan to the destination

Q

Vmcg (88kts)

Hint: TROMPT 180/25 snow blow

A
Vmcg assumes:
T- Trimmed for Takeoff
R - Rudder boost op
O - One engine failed/one at TRT
M - Most unfavorable weight/CG
P - Primary Aero Controls
T - Three wheels on the groun
180 - 180lbs rudder force
25 - 25 feet laterally
[snow] ...a lower RCR or
[blow] ...a crosswind will increase Vmcg

Hint: SEE

A

S - Stick Shaker (Stall)
E - Engine Anti-Ice
E - Engine Start

22
Q

The primary AC shed buses disconnect when the following conditions are met:
(sorry, no acronymn)

A
  1. The #1 INVERTER is not supplying 115 volt AC

2. The #2 INVERTER is on, but the power relay is de-energized (i.e. the #2 INVERTER is powered by the Emergency Bus)
