ACLS Algorithms - VF/VT, Bradycardia, Tachycardia Flashcards
What drugs are given in case of VF or pulseless VT?
Epi and Amiodarone
What drugs are given in case of asystole or PEA?
Epi
What is the dosing of EPI for VT, VF, asystole, and PEA?
1 mg every 3-5 min.
What is the first and main drug given in case of complicated bradycardia?
Atropine
What is the dosing of atropine in cases of complicated adult bradycardia?
0.5 mg every 3-5 mins to a max of 3mg
What is the Tx for complicated adult bradyarrhythmia if atropine is ineffective?
transcutaneous pacing OR dopamine IV infusion OR Epi IV infusion
How much Dopamine is given for bradycardia?
2-10 μg/kg/min
How much dopamine would you give to a 70 kg man w/ bradyarrhythmia?
up to 700 μg/min
How much Epi is given in case of bradycardia?
2-10 μg/min
How much Epi would you give to a 70 kg man w/ bradycardia?
2-10 μg/min
What is the Tx for unstable (e.g. altered mental status, shock) tachycardia?
syncronized cardioversion
What is the Tx for stable, narrow complex tachycardia?
vagal manuevers, adenosine, β-blockers, Ca++ channel blockers
What is the Tx for stable, wide-complex tachycardia?
Anti-arrhythmic infusion
What kind of anti-arrhythmic infusions in what doses should be given for unstable, wide-complex tachycardia?
Amiodarone, 150 mg over 10 mins
Sotalol, 100 mg over 5 min
What is the dosing for Adenosine in tachycardia?
1st dose: 6 mg + NS flush
2nd dose: 12 mg
