The pH scale is a scale of numbers that is used to specify the hydrogen ion concentration in an aqueous solution.

How acidic or basic a substance is.

How many numbers are on the scale and what do they represent?
A
It ranges from 1-14: the lower the pH, the more acidic and the higher the pH, the more basic or alkaline. pH 7 is neutral.
