What is acid rain?

A

A type of acid deposition that appears in different forms such as wet deposition (rain, sleet or snow that has become more acidic than ordinary) and dry deposition (where gas particles become acidic).

The pH of normal rain is naturally slightly acidic (between 5-6). The pH of acidic rain can get as low as 3.3.
