How to control insulin levels?
High diet of protein, fiber, and healthy fat.

Ghrelin from stomach and leptin from fat.
G- increases hunger
L- decreases hunger
How do we make changes to physical health?
Activity, behavior, and nutrition.
What is healthy habit #1?
Eat real food. Change your mindset.
Read ingredient lists; not nutrition facts
Combine carbs, protein, and fat.
What is healthy habit #2?
Focus on the process.
Ingrain positive habits
Eat breakfast
Start with simple swaps (Swap unhealthy with healthy)
Go shopping every few days. (shopping is a healthy habit)

Drink water.
Start and finish each day with water.
What is healthy habit #4?
Don’t count calories.
Count quality.
Calories in and out is not the way to go. We overestimate.

Do not obsess.
Enjoy your food.
Follow the 80/20 rule. Sustainability is key.
Listen to your body.
