  • DIRECT COPYING; from book/article/peer’s essay/webpage w/o acknowledgement
  • CLAIMING IDEAS; incorporation w/ acknowledgement
  • OVER-DEPENDANCE; extracting large work sections and sticking them together w/loose sentences
  • RE-SUBMISSION; using someone else’s/your own essay structure twice
  • COLLUSION; unintentional drawing of ideas via peer review; ALL involved parties summoned to discussion

  • good notes; paraphrase articles as you won’t remember source; make own narrative/conclusions; DON’T COPY WORD FOR WORD!
  • Turnitin; programme for plagiarism checks
