ann ming vowed to bring her daughters killer to justice by abolishing 800 year old double jeopardy law which prevents a second prosecution for the same offence. julie was killed in her home in 1989 and dunlop’s jury failed to reach a verdict on the case so he was formally cleared. he later confessed to killing julie and was convicted of perjury (lying in court under oath) but no action could be taken in connection with the murder

2012 - his mother, sister and aunt were killed by his aunts partner michael atherton. he legally owned six weapons despite having a history of domestic violence. after the murder he killed himself and previously had the guns removed but they were later returned to him.

secured 50k signatures on a 2011 petition and presented it to parliament. children and families act 2014 banned it
how were blf successful in campaigning for plain cigarette packaging
they are now drab and standardised instead of colourful, research showed that young people partly smoked because of the attractive packaging.
