What is an ASBO (Anti Social Behaviour Order)?

A

A court order which can be obtained by the local authorities in order to restrict the behaviour of a person who is likely to cause harm or distress to the public.

What is a CBO (Criminal Behaviour Order)?

A

An order which tackles the most serious and persistent anti-social individuals where their behaviour has brought them before a criminal court. It can deal with a wide range of anti-social behaviours following the offender’s conviction, including threatening violence against others, or frequently being drunk and aggressive in public.

What is token economies?

A

A method to help control behaviour. Based on the psychological concept of behavioural modification, meaning that rewarding positive behaviour and punishing negative behaviour. In a typical token economy programme, the institutional management will draw up a list of behaviours that they wish to promote, such as no fighting, follow the rules, keep clean, no intimidation or no further criminal activity.
