Rational ideology theory

A
  • a set of beliefs based upon our rational thoughts influence our moral conscience and compell us to follow rules
  • we conform to society’s norms/values due to our superego influencing our moral conscience (Freud psychodynamic theory)
  • superego develops through socialisation from parents/society and we internalise rules as our own
