Q

Flaps Manoeuvering Speed guarantee…

A

… at least full manoeuvering capability or at least 40 degree (25 + 15 overshoot) to stick shaker within a few thousand feed of airport altitude. While the flaps may be extended up to 20.000 ft, less manoeuvere margin to stick shaker exists for a fixed speed as altitude increases.

Q

Minimum Manoeuvering Speeds

Flaps Down Amber Band

A

Top of amber band: full Manoeuvre speed (1.3 g or 40 degree bank) to stick shaker. Does not vary with G load, based on current air speed and angle of attack

Middle of amber band: decreased manoeuvre speed (1 g or 30 degree bank (15+15))

Bottom of amber band: stick shaker depending on current g load
