How do courts use imprisonment to meet the aims of punishment
A
As Capital Punishment was abolished in the UK it meant that imprisonment was the more serious level of punishment, crown court have unlimited sentencing powers enabling them to send offenders to prison in order to keep the public protected from the worst kind of crimes such as robbery or murder
