Genitive Case
I Peter 1:11
Seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating as He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow.

The Genitive of Possession - whose? “belonging to,” Mary the mother of James (Mark 15:40), patience of God (I Peter 3:20)
The Genitive of Material - “made of” tablets of stone … tablets of human hearts (II Corinthians 3:3), idols of gold (Revelation 9:20)
The Genitive of Origin - the source, “comes from,” grace of God (I Corinthians 15:10), righteousness of God (Romans 3:22)
The Genitive of Character - “characterized by,” lusts of deceit (Ephesians 4:22) or deceitful lusts, gospel of peace (Ephesians 6:5) or peaceful gospel.
The Genitive Relation - “pertaining to,” reproach of Christ (Hebrews 11:26), word of life (Philippians 2:16)
