- no alcohol & 48hrs after Tx
- with/just after food
- gel - avoid strong sun light (acne)
- may discolour urine
- Rx: oral, BV, HP, DM foot infections

- common s/e - nausea, diarrhoea
- report severe diarrhoea with blood/mucous
- with or without food
- usually TDS
- liquid - may cause tooth discolouration, good oral hygiene
- Rx: chest, ear, oral infections

Doxycycline
A
- swallow capsule with >150ml water
- avoid sun beds & sun light - phototoxicity
- acne - 100mg OD
- chest infection - 200mg 1st day, 100mg OD
- don’t take indigestion remedies, Fe, Zn meds 2hrs before/after
- report headaches, visual disturbances - benign intracranial hypertension

- teeth discolouration
- Rx: chest, ear, oral infections
- s/e: epistaxis, burping, dry mouth

- SR taken BD
- avoid SIMVASTATIN

- report muscle weakness/pain/swelling in joints
- immediate attention - sudden SOB, swelling of ankles/feet/abdo, new palpitations
- report mood changes
- avoid NSAIDs
- tabs BD
- eye drops QDS
- ear drops BD
- don’t take milk, indigestion remedies, Fe/Zn 2hrs before/after
