A
Cervical lesions caused by functional or parafuncitonal habits/ activity

Talk through the proposed Aetiology of abfraction
A
- Eccentric occlusal load
- Cusp flexure
- Stress forces in cervical area
- Weakening of cervical hydroxyapatite leading to fracture of enamel or predisposition to erosion

Describe the clinical presentation of abfraction
A
- Deep V shaped notch
- May be a single tooth affected
- Toothbrush unable to contact base of defect
- Defects may be sub gingival
